This is a unique technique of converting rotary motion into a linear reciprocating motion based on the Principle of Contact Pressure that is created between a properly dimensioned ring and a shaft assembly enabling a transmission of significant force. The rate of advance of unit on the shaft is directly proportional to an angle of contact between ring and shaft. Being one of the pioneering Manufacturer and Exporter of Traverse Units, Linear Drives, Spooling and Layer Winding, the traverse direction reverses automatically as well as instantaneously. The assembly performs a similar lead screw that has an added advantage of a fine variable pitch and an infinitely variable setting of traverse length.

Seventeen models of traverse units are available with axial thrust ranging from 5 Kg to 280 Kg and suitable for shaft dia 10 mm to 80 mm. Traverse units are available in two designs.

Traverse Units with four Rolling Rings are heavy-duty models. The extra Rolling Ring increases the axial thrust capacity by 100 %.

There are no significant changes in outside dimensions of models of 40 mm diameter shaft and above. The dimensional change mainly in length for models suitable for 30 mm diameter shaft and below (4RR 15, 4RR 20, 4RR 22, 4RR 30.) is minimum.

Traverse Units with four Rolling Rings enables the use of a smaller diameter shaft for application in high thrust requirements, cost savings and also where only limited space is available.

LINEAR DRIVES
Seventeen models of Traverse units are available with axial thrust ranging from 5 kg to 280 kg and suitable for shaft dia 10 mm to 80 mm. Traverse units are available with three rolling rings and four rolling rings. Traverse unit with four rolling rings are heavy duty models and enable the use of a smaller dia shaft for application having high thrust requirements, saving in cost and also where only limited space is available.

WINDING
Traverse units are used for winding hair thin fiber optic wires to heavy gaugecables, Steel / Plastic wire Ropes, Rubber / Plastic Hoses and Pipes, Chain,Rectangular strips, Flats, Filaments, Ribbon, Tapes, Foils and for winding anymaterial of any shape and size. Traverse pitch is automatically synchronizedwith Take up reel rotational speed. Widely used in Spoolers / Take ups of Wire drawing, Stranding, Armoring, Braiding, Extruder and other Wire Processing Machines.
LAYER WINDING
Automatic / Semi automatic layer winding machines- Suitable for round wire up to 6 mm and rectangular paper covered conductor having maximum cross sectional area up to 50 Sq mm. Maximum winding dia : 1000 mm, Maximum winding length 1200 mm. Traverse- By Rollring traverse unit/ Servo motor with digital control. Working cycle controlled by CNC Computer with MMI key pad. Allows to program the winding sequence.
